been a while...

So things have been crazy in our house lately...

We all took turns getting sick(not fun) and William was in the hospital with RSV for 4 days. It was a crazy rollercoaster of germies in my house and me cleaning for what I feel like was forever. I am thankful for everyone feeling better!

Also I finally have started up my photography again after having little William and I am sooo happy and thankful for that. I just recently did a homecoming shoot which I am working on the edits for today. That was a hard one! I had soooo much emotion getting ready for that shoot. The last time I had been to a homecoming was for my husband and I knew how happy all those families were going to be having their loved one home safely to them. I definitely had to hold back the tears that evening.

Zack also got snipped this past week...so no more babies for us! It is nice to know something is definite in our life right now. With Zack in the military you never know when something just might change so at least we know about this haha.

Other than that Triston turned 3 and that was such a fun day! (other than the germs he brought home from terrible Chuckie Cheese! That place must be crawling with germs because hand sanitizer obviously didn't work nor did washing his hands, getting a bath or changing his clothes haha...NASTY PLACE!) Triston had a blast though and I think he had a really great birthday...but I just can't believe my little man is THREE! Where has the time gone??? William just turned 4 months and is babbling all the time now...it's funny the little things you forget about until you have another one and you get to experience it all over again! It is so very special being a mommy to these two wonderful boys and I feel so very blessed in my life.

I have been doing a lot of thinking because Zack and I are coming up on our fifth anniversary and I feel like the time has just flown by us, however that is probably because 2 of the 5 years he has been deployed and all the training time away on top of that. I feel very blessed though that he has been home as long as he has been this year and always thankful for another day with him home. It's funny how you change over the years and grow up sometimes without even knowing it. Sometimes it amazes me that Zack and I have been married this long and have two handsome boys, been through two deployments, have moved back and forth all over the country, bought two homes, and live a comfortable life.....all while being under 30 (Zack 25, me 24....side note: 24? seriously I do not feel 24 hahaha). I think we have been very blessed along the way and have always tried to make wise decisions for ourselves as a couple and now as a family and it has paid off and I feel proud of us and I feel very blessed that we have been so blessed by God. I also feel so blessed with the relationship Zack and I have...life hasn't always been easy for the two of us, over the years many obstacles have been thrown our way and we have always made it through to the other side stronger than ever. I can honestly say I am more in love with him today than when we were first married. He is an amazing father and an amazing husband and I am very blessed to have him in my life. I LOVE YOU BABE!!!

Well I better get back to finishing my edits (almost done whoooo hoooo!!!) since my little William is down for a nap. I sooooo enjoy the quiet time I get when he is down...SO THANKFUL FOR A HAPPY BABY!!!

2 months already???

So our little William is already 2 months old and I just don't know where the time has gone! I also know it will just keep flying by...because I really can't believe that Triston will be 3 next month!!!

He is getting so big and Triston is just loving him more and more just like his mommy and daddy :) Not too much has been going on since we have been back home. We have really just been getting back into our daily schedules and such...It is the playoffs so there has been tons of football in the house. This past weekend during the Steelers game Triston took his terrible towel and was running around the living room yelling out "STEELERS STEELERS STEELERS..." over and over which was quite humorous!

We did enjoy the little bit of snow we received right after we got home and can't wait for some more little snow storms this winter, because Triston sure does enjoy getting out and playing in it!

This year I am reallllllyyyy trying to find wonderful new recipes for our family because I feel as if we get in a rut sometimes and make the same handful of dishes over and over...so I keep filling up the DVR with cooking shows haha but there is also time that I have to think about because I like to have dinner close to being done or even about to put on the table when Zack gets off work and before William this wasn't much of an issue, however now I have really had to become more time conscious when it comes to dinner recipes and the preparation and such that it takes to get dinner on the table. So I guess it's just a balancing act at the moment...but each day I feel gets better and better and our schedule as a family is really coming together so I am very thankful for that. Well that is really all there is for now...not but so much going on in the Riggs household as of now...just enjoying our little loving family.
